Charcoal and Lemon Ice Cream

Charcoal is a super trendy ingredient right now. Not only does the jet black color look so stunning, but it also detoxes the body and whitens teeth. Charcoal ice cream is an easy ingredient to add that gives your dessert a coolness factor. 


  1. 1 cup heavy cream
  2. 1/4 cup activated charcoal
  3. 1 cup sour cream
  4. 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  5. 5 ml ( teaspoon )lemon zest
  6. 30 ml ( tablespoon) lemon juice
  7. 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  8. Gold luster dust optional
  9. Waffle cone optional


  1. Add heavy cream to a large bowl. Using a chilled metal bowl will work best, but glass will also do.
  2. Add 1/3 of the activated charcoal to the large bowl.
  3. Beat mixture until stiff peaks form. Set mixture aside.
  4. In a separate bowl, add sour cream and sweetened condensed milk.
  5. Add lemon zest and lemon juice. For more lemon flavor, increase amounts or add lemon curd.
  6. Add vanilla and remaining charcoal to the mixture.
  7. Add all ingredients into an ice cream maker.
  8. Transfer to a loaf pan and freeze overnight.


Olive Oil Saffron Ice cream 

Adding a little sweet, savory, and spicy is a surprisingly perfect blend with a smooth olive oil. If you are looking to add a little spice to your dessert life this is a perfect recipe for you! 


  1. 250 ml of milk
  2. 4 egg yolks
  3. 150 g of sugar
  4. 12 saffron filaments
  5. 50 ml extra virgin olive oil


  1. Boil the milk with the saffron.
  2. Mix the sugar, egg yolks, and extra virgin olive oil in the ice cream maker.
  3. Add the milk to the mixture.
  4. Pour everything into a bowl of ice to cool it quickly.
  5. Pour into an ice cream pan once it’s cooled down.
  6. Place in the freezer for 3 hours.


Calorie Conscious Chocolate Icecream

Ditch the dairy with this intolerant-sensitive recipe. The gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, vegan movement doesn’t mean ice cream can’t be enjoyed by all. (A particularly good recipe for those poor souls who are lactose-intolerant.)


6.4 oz (180g) dates, pitted

17 fl.oz. (500ml) coconut milk

1 tbsp. vanilla extract

5 tbsp. cocoa powder

1.7 oz. (50g) coconut sugar



  1. Add the dates with some of the coconut milk to a food processor or a strong mixer and mix until you get a smooth puree. 
  2. Gradually add the remaining coconut milk and mix until well combined.
  3. Add vanilla extract and cocoa powder and mix in.
  4. Fill this mixture into an ice machine and let freeze for about 50-60 minutes. Shortly before the ice cream is done add the coconut sugar and let mix in. 
  5. Place the ice cream in the freezer for 1-2 hours to harden it a bit more, then serve.
