Vegan Snickers Bar Smoothie

Frozen Fruit: Banana

A great addition any time of the day, the Vegan Snickers Bar Smoothie tastes delicious all while still being healthy for you! Also, a good idea to put on a Kids’ menu as it looks and tastes like a chocolate milkshake. Why not add a little coffee for adults.
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen banana
2 teaspoons cacao powder or cocoa powder (for those on a tighter budget)
2 tablespoon peanut butter or nut butter of your choice
Espresso shot (for the early risers)
A splash of coconut milk

Steps: Firstly add your liquids and powders, the cacao powder, nut butter, espresso, and coconut milk in the blender. Blend until just blended. Add the frozen banana and blend at high speed for 1 minute. (If needed add a fresh banana for a smoother consistency.) Sprinkle some shredded coconut and banana slices for decoration.

Frozen fruit: Pineapple, Banana

This big green health machine is a great smoothie to drink in the morning for all it’s antioxidant properties. The ‘green’ smoothie has become a staple smoothie on any health menu. Add some shots of turmeric, ginger or spirulina for an extra immune boost.

Ingredients:
1 cup frozen pineapple
1 cup frozen banana
2 handfuls of spinach
½ cup of water (coconut water if you’re feeling extra)
Added extra- turmeric, ginger, spirulina, avocado

Steps: With all smoothies, add your extras and liquids together in the blender first (water and spinach). Once just blended add the banana and pineapple. Blend on high speed until a smooth consistency. Add a slice of pineapple to the rim of the glass.

Frozen Fruit: Blueberries, Mixed berries, Banana

A long-standing favorite in the smoothie community, the berry-based smoothie brings a natural sweetness all while bursting with natural antioxidants. By adding yogurt or non-dairy milk it can leave you feeling fuller for longer.

Ingredients:
½ cup frozen Blueberries
½ frozen mixed berries
½ cup frozen banana
½ cup of a thickener- greek yogurt, dairy, or non-dairy milk.

Steps: Add the yogurt/ milk with the mixed berries and blend at high speed. Once blended add the blueberries. When the berries are smooth and blended, add a few frozen slices of banana at a time until it’s at the desired consistency. Decorate the top with a few mixed berries.
